THE WORLD OF

GEOTHERMAL ENERGY

Indonesia is the largest and most promising geothermal market

GEGI

MARKET POTENTIAL

  • Indonesia has a population of over 280 million and is the world’s 4th populous country and has the largest economy in South-East Asia
  • GDP growth is over 5% p.a. with electricity consumption forecast to grow by over 6% p.a.
  • The government has a plan to add around 69.5 GW of new installed power-generation capacity under the 2025-2034 RUPTL (2025-2034) (Electricity Supply Business Plan), of which about 42.6 GW (≈61 %) is expected to come from renewables and storage.
  • The country has a target to increase installed geothermal capacity significantly. The government aims to increase installed geothermal capacity by 5.2 GW within the next 10 years (up to 2034).

OUR BACKGROUND

GEGI has spearheaded the development of the next-generation modular power plants. This seasoned team, previously responsible for successfully deploying 15 modular power plants generating 87MW in Kenya and a smaller power plant in Iceland, continues to drive innovation in the industry.

OUR BUSINESS MODEL

GEGI’s business model comprises of 3 elements:

  • Independent Power Producer (IPP) developing and owning long term power projects together with SOE’s or private partners
  • Engineering and Procurement of key components for its proprietary modular wellhead power plants
  • Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for the life of the plant

OUR EXPERIENCES

GEGI’s commitment to modular geothermal technology, coupled with their cutting-edge solutions for power production and distribution, positions them as a leading player in the industry, providing reliable and efficient solutions for geothermal power generation.
  • GEGI has a recognized and verifiably superior proven solution based on its own modular power plant design
  • GEGI has an experienced management team and work in close cooperation with local subsurface experts with proven track records from many successful projects.
  • GEGI’s management has deployed its wellhead technology in Kenya with 15 plants generating 87MW and one 5 MW plant in Iceland

OUR
SERVICES

Power Production

GEGI presents three state-of-the-art modular geothermal power plants, each accompanied by their respective subsystems:

  • NG120 (12 MW)
  • NG60 (6.0 MW)
  • NG75bp (7.5 MW)

Power Distribution

GEGI offers two modular step-up-stations, designed to be flexible, scalable, and adaptable to varying step-up voltage and power requirements. These stations include:

  • SA8 (mobile 8-15 MW)
  • SA37 (fixed 15-120 MW)

Process Application

GEGI has produced a suite of design applications that facilitate the process design and optimization of the power plants to match specific environmental and process conditions.
